Before you book

The questions everyone asks.

Do I need a licence to charter in Turkey?

For a bareboat sailing yacht or catamaran, yes — an ICC or equivalent is normally required. Don't have one? Take the same boat with a skipper, or go with a gulet, which always comes crewed.

What's actually included in the price?

On GetBoat the displayed price includes fuel, taxes, port fees, crew where applicable and safety gear. Extras like a chef, transfers or water toys are quoted separately.

What is a "blue cruise"?

The Turkish gulet tradition: a crewed wooden boat that hops between bays for a few days, anchoring for swims and dinner. It's the reason most people charter here.

When should I book for summer?

July and August book out first, especially gulets and catamarans. If your dates are fixed, send them early — we'll tell you honestly what's still free.

Who am I paying?

You book and pay on GetBoat, a boat-rental marketplace, with their buyer protection. Cancellation terms are shown on each boat's page before you confirm.
